Position: Onsite Fractional Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager
Role Overview
A growing, project-driven organization is seeking an onsite, fractional Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to step in and take immediate ownership of core accounting functions. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with strong GAAP knowledge, deep General Ledger experience, and the ability to operate independently in a multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Maintain full responsibility for the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and GAAP compliance
- Support and execute revenue recognition activities
- Prepare and review financial statements across multiple entities and locations
- Complete and maintain balance sheet reconciliations; proactively resolve discrepancies
- Support audit preparation, including schedules, documentation, and auditor requests
- Partner closely with Operations on:
- Margin analysis
- WIP-style or project-based cost tracking
- Budget-to-actual performance analysis
- Provide hands-on guidance and informal leadership to accounting staff while retaining ownership of complex accounting matters
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements within Acumatica and related systems
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting, financial reporting, and revenue recognition
- Experience supporting multi-entity, multi-location organizations
- Deep, hands-on ownership of the General Ledger
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment
- Comfortable balancing detailed execution with leadership and cross-functional collaboration
Systems & Technical Skills
- Acumatica experience preferred (training available)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations, financial analysis)
